“‘Tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all”
– Tennyson
Star-Crossed (Feature Film)
Logline: Stephanie struggles with coming out, admitting her feelings for the woman she loves, and finding herself in this small town coming-of-age story.
Do you remember the first time you fell in love? The catch in your breath when they drew near. The way they occupied your mind day or night, dreams or daydreams, right beside you or miles apart? Everything in your life could be falling apart but you knew that it would be ok because they were with you. They were yours, and you were theirs… Now do you remember it ending? Having to say goodbye. The love is still there, but it’s just not enough anymore. Life keeps getting in the way and you realize that no matter what you do it’s not going to work out. Then comes the aftermath. The past has been let go but not entirely forgotten, and then, seemingly out of nowhere, you see them. All those memories come flooding back. Memories of love, heartache, happiness, and pain. You take a moment to remember, you want to go back, but you know that you can’t.
Star-Crossed is an LGBTQ+ coming of age love story about finding yourself, falling in love, growing up, and how even when things don’t work out as you plan, even if there’s heartache and pain, it doesn’t take away from the beauty of those moments, or the impact those people can have on your life.
